Hi, my name is Alvina.

Calgary is home now. Edmonton is where I started.

My creative life began long before I picked up a camera. I spent over a decade modelling and worked as a Model Development Specialist to help others see and present themselves in their best ways. I also became a Certified Professional Makeup Artist in 2013 and spent years in editorial and commercial work on set learning how light falls on skin and how a small detail can change everything in a frame.

I moved to Calgary in 2019 and began photography.

Something else has quietly become part of the work over time. The clients I photograph tend to be people building something — a practice, a brand, a reputation — and more often than not, they could benefit from knowing each other. A realtor and a lawyer. A esthetician and a skin care brand. One of the things I find most meaningful, beyond the images themselves, is being able to make that introduction. I'm building a community of professionals where the relationship doesn't end when the gallery is delivered.

What I'm really after is where something genuine comes through, whether that be through photos or people. That's what I'm always working toward.
